So, for Christmas, I ordered a dress, bloomers, a petticoat, and a headdress from fanplusfriend.com. This isn't the first time I've ordered from them. Last year I got a dress for Christmas from them, and a petticoat, but the petticoat was oodles too small in the waist. I can wear it, but it squishes my fat nice and good and I find that it looks like butt under the dress unless I'm wearing my corset. Once upon a time, I ordered a dress from the dark angel from prom, and I was really freaking excited about it, and when it got to my house, the dog chewed it up before I could ever even see it. Well back to the story at hand.
Why is it always the dress?
I get my bloomers and petticoats on (because I heard wearing two makes it poofier, which is what I'm going for), and I unzip this weird little zipper on the side that the dress has, and this little warning light goes off in my head, telling me not to. (Why the hell do I always ignore my intuition?) I put the dress on no problem, although the arm holes are a little too small (seriously, why are arm holes always too small = has fat arms?!) and I go to zip up the zipper and it won't budge. Irritated, I take the dress off and inspect the zipper, and it's stuck, and all the little zips before it are undone. Broken. Isn't that fantastic? The killer is, they're broken beyond the line of the fabric of the dress, meaning the damn thing was probably broken the entire time.
I emailed fanplusfriend about a return, and I hope to god they let me, because I was really looking forward to actually having my first EGL outfit all put together after about 8 years admiring the style. (Understatement of the century...)
